CI/CD pipeline setup in Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Every code change automatically goes through tests and a security scan and lands on the server — no manual file copying and no stress on release day. I set up the pipeline in your repository and leave it fully documented.
When it makes sense
- You deploy by hand (FTP, SSH, copy-paste) and avoid doing it before the weekend.
- Tests run “when there’s time” — or never.
- Nobody knows exactly which version is running in production.
- You have a pipeline, but it’s slow, flaky or understood by one person only.
What you get
- a Jenkins or GitHub Actions pipeline: tests → build → deploy
- security scan of code and image (Trivy) on every change
- automatic rollback when a deployment fails
- documentation and a how-to for your team
How it works
- 01
Repository review
I look at how you build and deploy today, and we agree on the target pipeline.
- 02
Pipeline step by step
Tests → image build → Trivy scan → publish → deploy. Each stage works and is visible in history before I move to the next one.
- 03
Safe deployments
An automatic check that the new version works (smoke test), optional approval before production, and rollback to the previous version if something goes wrong.
- 04
Handover
Documentation and a short walkthrough with your team: how to add a step and how to roll back.
Proof in code
In GCP-Java-GKE-CI-CD a Jenkins pipeline runs tests, scans infrastructure (Checkov) and the image (Trivy), deploys to dev, runs a smoke test and, after approval, promotes the very same image to production. In GCP-Image-Processing-Pub-Sub the same is done by GitHub Actions together with Argo CD (GitOps).

Questions about this package
Q1Jenkins or GitHub Actions?
If your code is on GitHub and you don’t run your own CI servers, GitHub Actions usually wins — zero maintenance. Jenkins makes sense if you already use it, need full control or work outside GitHub. I’ll advise before we start.
Q2Will the pipeline work with my hosting?
Yes, as long as it can be deployed to automatically — a VPS over SSH, Kubernetes or Google Cloud (Cloud Run, GKE). Shared hosting without SSH access is limited — I’ll tell you before quoting.
Q3What if I don’t have tests?
A pipeline still pays off: automated builds, security scans and repeatable deployments work without tests. I’ll prepare a place for tests and suggest where to start.
